1. After maintenance, the motor assembly is improper or the motor clearance is large.

2. When the power supply voltage is too high, the magnetic saturation phenomenon will occur in the motor core, resulting in excessive no-load current.

3. For some old motors, due to corrosion or aging of silicon steel plate, weakening of magnetic field strength or insulation damage between plates, excessive no-load current is caused by insufficient turns of stator winding or star connection wrongly connected to triangle connection. For small motor, no-load current can be used as long as it does not exceed 50% of rated current.
